Psychologists must use the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for billing insurance carriers. It was recently announced by the American Medical Association that new psychotherapy codes will be in effect starting January 1, 2013. This presentation will describe the new CPT codes and their relationship to the current codes.

Participants who attend this 1 CE workshop will be able to:

  • •1. Identify the changes in CPT codes starting Jan 1, 2013.
  • •2. Understand ways to use the new CPT codes for mental health services they are currently providing.
