Edward M. Adams, PsyD
Dr. Adams is in private practice in Lambertville NJ where he focuses on the treatment of men. He is the co-author of two books focused on men and masculinity and is past president of Division 51 (Men and Masculinities) of APA. In 2013 he received the Practitioner of the Year award from Division 51. Thirty years ago he founded Men Mentoring Men a non-profit organization helping men live liberating lives.
“Am I supposed to be emotionally distant or close? How should I relate to women without fear of being seen as a creepy guy? How a I feel good about myself when men are labeled as toxic? This confusion is unsettling to men. But this flux offers an opportunity to broaden our CONFINED ideas of male behavior and create new possibilities of benefit to men and women. This can be done by weaving compassionate behavior and larger, deeper and more meaningful connections into our male identity.

This program is intended for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, physicians and graduate students. It will be presented at an intermediate level, meant for those with some prior knowledge of the subject matter. The presenter does not have any commercial support and/ or conflict of interest for this program.
