Dr. Beverly Tignor is a psychologist in private practice with more than 40 years of experience working with children and teens. She has numerous presentations, scientific papers, and book chapters to her name and is one of the founders of MCPA.

This talk offers a brief overview of how to use contemporary knowledge of brain communication via QEEG (brain mapping) to assist in diagnosis, medication management, and determination of treatment options.

Learning Objective     --   Participants will be able to:

1.     Define what is QEEG and what is Neurofeedback.
2.     Recognize how QEEG brain patterns can assist in making a differential diagnosis.
3.     Recognize how identifiable EEG phenotypes can be used to help predict medication response
4.     Describe how the QEEG adds to the clinician and client’s understanding of the nature of the problem, and additional treatment options.
