    You are invited to join us at our monthly breakfast program:

    Tricky Dilemmas for Psychologists

    Presented by Rhonda Allen, PhD, Sarah Dougherty, PsyD,  Marilyn Lyga, PhD  ABPP         

    Drs Allen, Dougherty and Lyga are all former members of NJPA’s ethics committee.  Dr. Allen and Dr. Dougherty each have private practices in Morristown, and Dr. Lyga has a private practice in Basking Ridge.

    In this year’s Ethics program, participants will be presented with several ethically challenging dilemmas.  Participants will then be asked to consider how an ethically practicing psychologist might frame each dilemma in order to develop an appropriate course of action.  Open and lively debate is encouraged.

    Learning Objectives  Participants will be able to:


    1.     Describe the specific dilemmas that were illustrated in the cases presented.

    2.     Apply ethical principles to the dilemmas that were illustrated in the cases presented.

    3.     Critique the various solutions, and develop a plan of action.

    This program is intended for psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, and graduate students. It will be presented at an intermediate level, meant for those with some prior knowledge of the subject matter. The presenters receive no commercial support and report no conflict of interest regarding this presentation.

               Cost:              MCPA member with buffet breakfast               $24

    The breakfast will be from 8:30 – 9:00 am. providing a chance to network with colleagues and students.  The presentation will follow from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.  Payments may be made at the door by check (made out to MCPA) or with cash, if you did not pay online when you registered.

    1.5 CE Credit Available

    This program is co-sponsored by NJPA and the Morris County Psychological Association. NJPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  NJPA maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The program is approved for 1.5 CE credit. The cost of a CE Certificate is $15 for NJPA members, $25 for non-members. Some NJPA membership tiers have discounted rates.

    Refunds will be granted (less administrative fees) for cancellations received at least 24 hours prior to event start time.
